Lacanau with children: the children's island in Hourtin

If you have toddlers who just want to exert themselves, take them to the children's island, on the edge of Lake Hourtin-Carcans. Being created thanks to the construction of the port of Hourtin, the access is made by small bridges which take the children on this plain of games where they will find what they are looking for over a single afternoon or more.

It is an improved children's park, with imposing structures that will leave your children with lasting memories of "I want to go back!" This space is exclusively dedicated to children: in its center, a wooden fort, that rubs a pyramid of ropes and a gigantic cobweb for the climbers and grass spidermen. There is also a playground of all kinds, as well as a calendar of animations put in place by the animators of the place during the months of July and August.

You will find for your picnic break tables and benches provided for this purpose.

Whether on a scooter, bicycle, on foot or in strollers, you can wander on the various trails that crisscross the island and rest on one of the vast expanses of grass that punctuate the path.

In June, for a weekend, the Bambino Party is the festival par excellence for children from 3 months to 12 years old. An essential family gathering where children are kings and have fun and make the most of fun spaces, creative workshops and sports activities.

The children's island is accessible for free throughout the year, putting nature and adventure in the spotlight!
