Lacanau offers a large variety of cultural activities throughout the year, with the highlights during the summer months. It has to be said that at this time the city strongly increases the number of its inhabitants and in this way the public is extending!

Lacanau Gliss' Festival is an event that involve introducing  the public to winter sports. The 2018 edition will focus on the theme \"Glisse Santé Nature\" ( Sledging, Health, Nature) . Introductions to the new winter sports will be held next to the Winter Sport Show.

International tennis tournament

This is the unmissable Tennis event on the coast of Medoc. Good weather, great champions and a public that comes all together, this tournament is registered in the national circuits of major tournaments. It is open to players of all levels and offers no less than thirteen tables.

Malibu Open

Inaugurated in 1999 on the initiative of former European champions and the world of water skiing, Sylvie and Jean-Michel Jamin, the Malibu Open gathers together world water sports stars in Lacanau. The Pitrot Nautical Stadium, made up of two lakes, welcomes the best water skiers in the world, men and women. In front of the technical prowess, figures, jump and slalom!

Created in 1979, Lacanau Pro is one of the oldest stages of the professional surfing circuit. It is part of the two French qualifying stages for the Championship Tour to compete for the world title of the World Surf League. Various competitions, contests, introductory and advanced skate & roller workshops, group sports and well being classes such as yoga, fitness and zumba ... All of that in a DJ musical atmosphere, and with a program of theme evening.

Since 2003, Lacanau organizes Au Fil d'Octobre ( In The Course of October), an autumn event around cinema, theater and dance. Babies, children, adults: all audiences will find activities and shows for them.
